Puklich Chevrolet is Hiring a Front Desk Receptionist (part-time) Near Bismarck, ND

Job Type: Part Time

SUMMARY

Shift will be from 5pm to 7pm Monday thru Friday, and 9am to 5pm every other Saturday, and Holidays as scheduled by supervisor.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Receives customers at the dealership, determines the nature of their business, and directs customers to their destination. Answers basic inquiries, routes incoming calls, takes messages, and provides basic information to all customers.

Serves as a back up to our cashier office where you assist customers when they pick up their vehicle from our service department. Receives payment for products or services sold by the dealership and plays a key role in maintaining or creating customer satisfaction for the business transaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greets showroom customers and determines the nature of their visit.
  • Directs customers to the correct department, notifies the appropriate person that a customer is waiting
  • Answers incoming phone calls. Directs caller to appropriate department or individual or takes a thorough message.
  • Communicates with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Obtains basic demographic information about each showroom customer using a log sheet.
  • Communicates messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  • Opens and distributes incoming postal mail.
  • Records and stamps incoming checks for accounts receivable.
  • Monitors and distributes online faxes
  • Assists with clerical duties as requested.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Keeps current on all training requirements; such as GM training, Compliance training and other training as assigned by manager.
  • Sets a good example by maintaining a healthy work demeanor and cooperating with other managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork. Represents Puklich Chevrolet Inc. positively when out in the community.

Cashier Duties:

  • Greets customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Prints customer invoices.
  • Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
  • Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
  • Prepares daily cash deposit.
  • Provides refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise or as directed by managers.
  • Reconciles cash drawer daily.
  • Answers customer questions about service performed or products purchased, or refers them to someone who can.

Other responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

  • REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
